‘Fill that gap’ petition for boardwalk

A PETITION to get the gap at Shoreham Beach’s boardwalk filled has been launched.

It has been organised by Friends of Shoreham Beach and will be available to sign for the next two to three weeks.

Copies of the petition are at the Post Office, The Bakery 2 and Beach Café, The Waterside Inn, all in Ferry Road, the Aquamarine bar at Emerald Quay and the Church of the Good Shepherd in King’s Walk.

The boardwalk, which runs along the beach between Ferry Road and Shingle Road, has a gap of about 20 metres, left after a legal wrangle over land ownership, between Adur District Council and a resident of Old Fort Road.

For the full story, see the Shoreham Herald, out today (Thursday, January 31).
