Dan Beamish enthused pupils with the excitement of motocross

THE excitement of moto-cross was brought to life for Upper Beeding pupils.

Dan Beamish, who co-runs Golding Barn Raceway in Small Dole, visited key stage one children at Upper Beeding Primary School to talk about the extreme sport as part of their topic, On the Move.

He took along a moto-cross bike, which is used in races, together with the equipment worn while racing.

Teacher Debbie Gilpin said: “He enthused the key stage one children with his explanation of the fun and excitement of racing, while all the time emphasising the need to keep safe while racing and the equipment worn and the safety checks undertaken to minimise the risk and to ensure this safety.”

Golding Barn Raceway is a professional moto-cross practice and race facility in Henfield Road. It was built Danny and Steve Beamish, an ex professional moto-cross racer.
