Ella earns special award

Peter Metcalfe, chairman of Adur Council, presents Ella Collins-Godden with a special achievement award for her fund-raising for Rainbow Child Foundation

A SHOREHAM 12-year-old’s fund-raising efforts have earned her a special achievement award.

Adur Council chairman Peter Metcalfe presented the award to Ella Collins-Godden last Tuesday.

Mum Sara Collins said: “Thank you Peter for all your support and encouragement.”

Ella raised £353 for the Rainbow Child Foundation in a mini-triathlon, as part of her participation in the regional heat of the Face of the Year competition.

She achieved the title Junior Miss Publicity in the beauty pageant last Sunday and finished in the top nine, but missed out on qualifying for the final.
