GROUPS with an interest in horticulture are invited to get involved in Adur World Oceans Day 2013.

Andy Horton, from the organising committee, explained: “This is an open invitation to try to get other groups involved and not get stuck in a rut with the same activities every year.”

This year’s event, the 13th anniversary, takes place on Saturday, June 8, from 10am to 4pm, in a marquee on Coronation Green, Shoreham.

The theme of the family event will be biodiversity and heritage.

“Adur World Oceans Day is an inclusive event and we welcome local societies and other groups to participate by manning a stall during the day,” said Andy.

Clubs could mount a display on tables provided and have somebody to chat about their activities, he suggested.

There is an electricity supply for computer equipment and animated displays, too.

Call Andy Horton on 01273 465433, email glaucus@hotmail.com or visit www.glaucus.org.uk/AWOD2012.htm for more information.
