ADUR East Lions Club will be donning floral hats to support the Great Daffodil Appeal.
Members will be collecting for Marie Curie Cancer Care while sporting the daffodil hats at Shoreham Farmers’ Market on Saturday, from 9am to 3pm.
Club president Susan Saunders said: “We can fund one hour of free nursing care for someone in Adur by raising just £20.
“Giving a small donation and wearing the iconic Marie Curie daffodil pin really can make a big difference.”
The money collected will be spent in the Adur district, helping to provide free nursing care to terminally ill patients in their own homes.
A representative of Marie Curie Cancer Care said: “Terminal illnesses touch everyone and the Lions fundraising will enable Marie Curie to deliver additional nursing care from the generosity of local people in Shoreham.”
The Great Daffodil Appeal has raised more than £70 million since 1986. Last year, the cancer charity chose Lions Clubs British Isles and Ireland to be its first official partner for the appeal, to help reach a target of £1 million over three years.
