Staff and customers at The Co-operative in Southwick Square have been feeling the chill over Christmas since the store’s heating broke down.
Complaints from customers led to convector heaters being brought in, but these had to be removed when they overloaded the system.
A spokesperson from The Co-operative Food said: “Unfortunately, we are experiencing problems with the heating system at our store on Southwick Square.
“Due to the Christmas break there has been a slight delay in getting contractors out to the store, but we are expecting them to be on site next week. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience.”
