THE launch of a Networking Hub in Shoreham last week has been declared a great success.
A total of 45 business attended the event last Tuesday at Adur Business Centre, Basepoint’s newest centre, in the Ropetackle building in Little High Street.
The event, led by Basepoint regional manager Karen Osborne, gave people the chance to meet new people and generate new business.
Guest speakers Nick Briggs and Jill Sherwin, from Brainwaves, gave a presentation on “how to take your business to the next level of success”.
Karen said: “This is the 29th Basepoint centre to launch a Networking Hub and it has been a great success, with attendees from as far as Portsmouth and Farnborough.
“Our hubs are fast gaining a reputation as important events in the business calendar, helping SMEs to build up a support system and generate new business through the contacts they meet, as well as gain insightful knowledge from our guest speakers.
“This free event will be held quarterly and the goal is to encourage as many local businesses as possible to attend.”
During the launch, a business card draw was held. Pascal Atkins, of Prizmatic, won a bottle of champagne and Heather Barrie, of Harries Food, won the exclusive use of a meeting room, which she intends to use for a coffee tasting session for Shoreham businesses.
Tina Tilley, chief executive of Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce, said she was delighted Basepoint had moved in and she looked forward to working with them in the future.
