BREAKING NEWS: Missing woman prompts first shout of the year for RNLI Shoreham lifeboat

Reports of a missing woman prompted the launch of the RNLI Shoreham inshore lifeboat yesterday (Friday, January 4) at 12.15am.

She had last been seen at 3pm on Thursday but no trace was found, despite a three-hour search.

The lifeboat crew carried out a search of the River Adur east and west of the Norfolk Bridge, Shoreham, while the

coastguard and other lifeboat crew searched the riverbanks.

The inshore lifeboat then headed out to sea and searched from Shoreham Harbour to Beach Green, Shoreham.

After three hours, the search was called off after nothing was found.

The lifeboat and volunteer search teams returned to station.
