Bike catches fire after hitting reservation

A MAN was left with multiple fractures after his motorbike hit a central reservation and caught fire.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on slip road to the A27 Shoreham flyover on Saturday afternoon.

At around 5.45pm, the motorcycle was on the Cloverleaf Roundabout, heading to join the eastbound A27.

The 44-year-old male rider lost control and came off the bike on a bend in the road.

His black Suzuki collided with the central reservation, went on to the opposite carriage and caught fire.

Sussex Police said the man, from Brighton, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with multiple fractures.
