The battle may be won but the war is not over yet, residents in Shoreham Beach fear.
A controversial plan to demolish a chalet bungalow in Beach Green and replace it with seven flats has been rejected.
But campaigners fear that will not be the end of the bid to redevelop in an area that has been described as the gateway to Shoreham Beach.
Residents sent in a stream of objections to the plans, which included six two-bedroom flats, one three-bedroom flat, nine semi-underground parking spaces and a cycle store.
Andy Ramus spoke on behalf of the objectors at Adur Council’s planning committee meeting last month.
