Aggregates firm Dudman goes into administration with 140 jobs under threat
A total of around 140 jobs are threatened as construction firm Dudman has gone into administration.
The company, which has its headquarters in Southwick, had, according to administrators, suffered cash flow problems.
It managed a turnover of £30 million in 2011, but has since come under considerable financial pressure.
Based at Albion Wharf, the firm has grown from its original base as a haulage company, to produce aggregate and concrete, with a shipping division.
The company has operated quarries, wharves and rail terminals within Sussex and Hampshire.
Having recorded profits in 2011, it had been projected to perform well last year.
