CHOIRS, families and charity supporters gave shoppers a treat at Sainsbury’s West Hove.

Various groups went along to the store for the national carol singing weekend.

Singers included a group from the Sussex MS Treatment Centre in Southwick, volunteers from Shoreham-based Sussex Sailability, a carol singing flash mob from South Downs Folk and Whispering Woods Gang.

The St Mary’s Handbell Ringers, from St Mary de Haura Church in Shoreham, also took part.

PR ambassador Emma Green said: “The hand bell ringers provided a nice contrast to the carol singing.”

Sainsbury’s stores across the country encouraged residents, including professional choirs, singing families, friends, schools, charities and community clubs to sign up and spread festive cheer in the run-up to Christmas.
