Tables were also laden with chocolate cakes for the homecraft section and much more, including floral art and photography.

Show secretary Daphne Thomas said: “Despite the upheaval caused by the renovation of the Shoreham Centre, the Shoreham Horticultural and Allotment Society autumn show was a major success.

“This was our last show for 2014 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us during 2014.

“Our congratulations must also go to the new members who entered classes in the show and won awards. Well done!”
