FREE advice on sorting out finances is on offer at a Shoreham church.
The CAP Money Course, following training from debt charity Christians Against Poverty, is being run at Shoreham Baptist Church.
The Western Road church is one of 400 congregations in the UK to offer the free course to help people get their finances in order in the new year.
Julia Lillywhite, debt centre manager, said: “We are putting on this course because we know how financial worry can mess up relationships and cause havoc with health and wellbeing.
“The CAP Money Course is designed to debt-proof families against this kind of stress, and with something like a third of us relying on credit to get us through Christmas, it might be the best resolution we can make at the start of 2015.”
The confidential course, which is suitable for all, comprises three two-hour sessions spread over three weeks, helping people to create a household budget, prioritise spending, begin saving and re-organise banking.
“More than 20,000 people have enjoyed these debt prevention sessions across the UK over the last few years, and it has helped to bring them real peace of mind,” said Julia.
The course will start on Wednesday, January 28, from 10am to midday. To book a free place, contact Julia or John Lillywhite at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07740 645165.
