PAINTINGS by Shoreham artists will be among those on show at the Society of Sussex Painters’ 90th anniversary exhibition.
The group has held exhibitions at least once a year since it began in 1924, even throughout the war years.
The mark the anniversary, there will be archive material and information about the group’s history, alongside paintings by the current membership, which totals around 30.
The free exhibition will be held at Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, in Chapel Road, Worthing, from July 12 to 26, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
There will be two demonstrations of art techniques. On Saturday, July 19, oils will be shown by Barry Hinchliff 10.15am to 1pm and John Amos, 3pm to 4pm. On Saturday, July 26, Amanda Davidson pen and ink wash will be shown by Amanda Davidson, 2pm to 3.30pm.
