GANGS of tiny elves descended on a Shoreham primary school last Friday to help a children’s charity.

Pupils at St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, in Sullington Way, were supporting Rockinghorse’s annual Dress as an Elf Day.

There were more than 150 elves in school, including some teachers and head teacher Kate Crees.

Mrs Liz Matthews, the head’s PA, said: “The children always enjoy home clothes days but this one is always a special day and one which the children particularly enjoy.

“It was so lovely going in to the classes and seeing them all dressed up. The nursery on site at the school, Spangels, also took part and all their children and staff were dressed as elves.”

The combined total raised was £254, with £40.60 from the nursery and £213.40 from the school.
