SCORES of people had fun hunting for clues round Shoreham town centre in a free Easter egg hunt.
Families had to find the clues on giant card eggs in shop windows and fill in the answers on a form, making the most of the brilliant spring sunshine on Saturday morning.
When they took their completed forms back to Shoreham Baptist Church, in Western Road, they were given a free crème egg, plus drinks and hot cross buns.
All the forms went into a hat for the chance to win a giant chocolate Easter egg.
Children were also able to take part in craft activities, including Easter card making at the church.
Nick Hough, one of the organisers, said: “This was a brilliant event and proved really popular with families. We had around 100 forms handed in, and there was a real buzz in the church all morning.
“It was so well received that we are thinking seriously about making this an annual event, together with the Big Bounce, Harvest supper and Christmas treasure hunt.
“We just love to bless our town and community with family-friendly fun events as we mark the major Christian festivals.”
Details of future events, including the next Donkey Tales service with stories, songs, craft and cakes on Sunday, April 27, at 3.30pm, can be found on the church website: www.shorehambaptist.co.uk or by calling 01273 965407.
