SHOREHAM Harbour Lifeboat Station is opening its doors for a fun day and Easter egg hunt.

Visitors will be able to tour the Tamar all-weather lifeboat and meet members of the crew at the station, on Kingston Beach, on Easter Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Hugh Tucknott, chairman of the Shoreham Harbour Lifeboat Society, said: “All proceeds raised go to Shoreham Harbour Lifeboat, so not only can you have a good time, but you can help save lives at sea.

“You will be able to look over the boathouse and see the Tamar lifeboat up close. There will be children’s games, a bouncy castle, tombolas, a raffle, model boats, refreshments and lots to do. It should be a fun day out.”

A one-man band will be entertaining the crowds and face painting will be on offer for the children.
