A MUCH-ANTICIPATED meeting focusing on the findings of a joint impact assessment into the effects awarding a musculoskeletal (MSK) contract to Bupa CSH Ltd will have on wider hospital services has been delayed.
The Health and Adult Social Care Select Committee (HASC) meeting, which was due to revisit the impact of the NHS musculoskeletal services contract, has been moved from Thursday, November 13, to Friday, December 5.
Chairman of the committee Margaret Evans and vice-chairman Dr James Walsh have taken the decision to move the date after discussions with the NHS.
Mrs Evans said: “The MSK contract is a matter of significant concern to the committee and to the public. We feel it’s important to enable the committee to have the correct and most up-to-date information so we can be fully informed about the implications and impact of the new MSK services.
