TECHNOLOGY: Increasing font size on your iPhone or iPad

Whether you spend ten hours a day looking at screens, or your vision just isn't what it used to be, increasing the font size on your phone or tablet can help to relieve strained, tired eyes. Apple have made adjusting the size of the text on your screen remarkably easy.

To begin with open Settings on your device. Then scroll down and select Display & Brightness followed by Text Size. This should bring up a sliding scale. Simply drag the slider left or right to find the text size you prefer. Once you have settled on a size you are happy with, your text should sync over your entire iOS interface including your Apple apps and most third party apps.

If you have set your text to the top of the scale and still require it to be larger, then there is a way to further increase the size of your text. Simply go to Settings then click General, followed by Accessibility and select Larger Text. By clicking the switch to green, you will enable Larger Accessibility Sizes and your options for text size will grow.
