A red Toyota was set alight in Lancing in what police called a ‘dangerous and irresponsible’ act.

At about 6pm on Monday, November 9, a red Toyota Starlet, belonging to a local resident, was set alight and seriously damaged while parked in Sompting Road, Lancing.

Sussex Police are seeking witnesses to the incident.

PC Matt Welch said: “From our enquiries so far there is no obvious motive for this isolated but dangerous and irresponsible incident.

“If you saw what happened or have any other information please get in touch with us via 101@.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1244 of 09/11.

“You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”
