ROTARIANS are hoping a planned car boot sale will help give a their charity funds a much-needed boost.
The Shoreham and Southwick Rotary Club fundraising event will be held at Adur Recreation Ground, Brighton Road, on Saturday, May 2, from 8am to 1pm.
Rotarian Les Baker said: “The Giant Charity Car Boot Sale is to help us top up our local charity account because, as ever, at this time of the year just after Christmas, our funds become somewhat depleted.
“We welcome all sellers old and new to our wonderful scenic recreation ground, please come along and help us to help many local charities and good causes.”
The Rotary club embraces the motto ‘service above self’ and members work for the local community, as well as helping those less fortunate all over the world.
In the past year, the club has donated around £10,000. More information will be given at the annual meeting tomorrow, at the Amsterdam in Upper Shoreham Road in 1pm.
