A MAN was taken to hospital when his motorcycle crashed into a car in Upper Beeding yesterday morning (Wednesday, May 13).

The incident took place at 9.37am in Henfield Road.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man from Lower Beeding, suffered back injuries.

Two fire crews were in attendance alongside police and paramedics.

A team from the Sussex Air Ambulance also attended but the casualty was eventually taken by land ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton.

The car driver was shocked but unhurt.

The scene was finally cleared at 12.23pm.
