Bexhill in Bloom
The all-important date is Friday 6 July at 10.30am, when national judges Barry Newman and his colleague will be met at the Environmental Centre by a Welcoming party including the Mayor and the Bexhill in Bloom Princess.
They will then be taken on a tour of the town by Sandra Melvin, chair of Bexhill in Bloom, John Willis Vice chair and Peter Fairhurst. The Route has yet to be drawn up, but if you know of an area or a garden which should be included please let the organisers know.

Hide AdBarrack Hall Park will be judged on Monday 9th July at 11.00am by Peter Holman, one of the organisers of South & South East in Bloom. He will be met in Manor Gardens. The committee of Bexhill in Bloom have just one hour when they hope to make a big impression. Timings are very strict and Points are lost if these are exceeded.
Ingram's Farm Community Allotments has also been entered for the Neighbourhood Community Category and the date for this visit has yet to be announced.
Sandra said that she wants to appeal to everyone to help brighten up the town, by putting out tubs and hanging baskets, not just for the judging dates but for the summer. Also a reminder, the closing date for entering Bexhill in Bloom is 30th June. Entry Forms can be collected from the Bexhill Observer Office in Sackville Road.
Sandra is also opening her garden at 294 Turkey Road on Sunday 13th May from 11.00am to 4.00pm. Cost 5 to include Strawberry Cream Tea served from 2.00pm with a fund raising raffle in aid of Bexhill in Bloom.
