The event, organised by aviation historian Andy Saunders, returned to Shoreham Airport last April after a six-year break.

Andy had organised the unique collectors event for many years until he was forced to abandon it in 2006 due to rising costs.

He was then approached by the new owners of Shoreham Airport and asked to re-instate the popular aerojumble.

The event on April 6 last year proved a great success, so Andy is now busy preparing for this year’s event, which will be on Saturday, March 29.

He said: “Those familiar with aero-jumble events will need no introduction to the leading Shoreham sale.”

There had been many old friends, as well as many new faces, at last year’s event, which was brilliant, he added.

Andy said he had originated the aerojumble concept and the Shoreham event had become Europe’s premiere aerojumble.

Previous ‘stunning finds’ have included a pair of Spitfire ammo boxes, which proved useful for a restored aircraft.

Dealers from all over the UK are expected to take part, with more than 150 stall spaces in a big marquee.

Bargain hunters will be able to find anything connected with aviation, from its early days right up to the present.

Stalls will include aviation art, prints, books, medals, propellers, uniform, memorabilia, equipment, badges, militaria, logbooks, flying clothing, airline items, old toys, aircraft parts, postcards, home-front ephemera, model kits and much more.

Gates open at 10am, with trade passes available from 8am. Admission is £4.50 for adults, free for children, and refreshments will be available all day.

Andy said: “Buy, sell, exchange or barter. It is probably the biggest event of its kind in the world. Don’t miss this spectacular air enthusiasts event.”
