A BARN in Upper Beeding has been transformed for the Steyning Arts Trail.
Hobjoins Barn, in Hyde Street, will be open over three weekends, from May 24 to June 8, raising money for St Barnabas House hospice.
Resident artist Lucy Watt said: “Our old barn has been dormant in our care for the past five years and has recently undergone a make over and uplift to reveal its raw beauty and the fantastic exhibition space within.”
She will be showing her new Encaustic Wax collection alongside other local artists during the trail. Drinks and home-baked goods will be available, with donations going to the hospice.
Lucy is raising money in memory of her mother, who was diagnosed with brain cancer in November, 2012, and spent her last few months at the Worthing hospice before she died in October last year.
There will be a private collection of works on show, artistically displaying the last year of her mother’s life.
Opening times are 11am to 4pm, Saturdays and Sundays, plus Bank Holiday Monday, May 26. The barn is behind The Towers Convent School and parking is available.
