Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in a park in Lancing.

Officers were called by paramedics, who attended the scene of the incident at Crowshaw Park, off Boundstone Lane, at about 9.20pm on Wednesday, June 8.

A local man in his 20s was taken to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a man, about 6ft, wearing a black balaclava, a white top and black tracksuit bottoms. He is believed to have assaulted the victim using a small kitchen knife.

Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1769 of 08/06.

In particular, officers would like to speak to a woman who called the ambulance and who may have more information.
