This photo shows children, and a few mums, at a VE Day party in Adelaide Square, Shoreham, in 1945.

The photo was sent in by Sheila Talbot, née Baker, who had just turned ten at the time of the party.

Sheila’s mother, Edith, is pictured on the far right of the photo, and the woman sat next to her is Mrs Robinson.

She said every boy and girl in the road was at the party, including her brother Leonard and her sisters, Mavis and Eileen.

“Everybody in the road was friendly and very happy to help each other out,” she said.

Do you recognise any familiar faces in the photo?
