The battle of the sexes leads to massive collateral damage in Alain Corneau’s erotically charged thriller.

Ruthless business executive Christine (Kristin Scott Thomas) is the queen of her kingdom and she surveys all around her with disdain.

Christine hires eager assistant Isabelle Guerin (Ludivine Sagnier) and sets about moulding her protegee in her image, showering the young woman with gifts and toying with her emotions.

The mind games escalate when Christine despatches Isabelle to Cairo for an important business deal with business associate Philippe (Patrick Mille), who just happens to be Christine’s lover.

Isabelle sleeps with Philippe and when Christine discovers the betrayal, she sets out to destroy her assistant.

Consequently, Isabelle joins forces with co-worker Daniel (Guillaume Marquet) to seek revenge, or die trying.
