CLASSICAL masterpieces from Byrd to Handel will be performed by The Parnassian Ensemble at St Mary’s House, Bramber, on Saturday, October 6.

The ensemble has gained a reputation for its virtuosic performances and innovative programming and regularly appear at prestigious venues throughout the country.

Described as “alluringly sweet-toned, elegant and polished”, their playing has graced a special recital at Hatchlands, home of the Cobbe Collection of historical instruments.

The programme, which includes works by Byrd, Purcell, Handel, Scarlatti and Vivaldi, takes place at 3pm. Tickets, including tea and cake, are £25 from the box office on 01903 816205, or online via www.stmarysbramber.co.uk.
