MEET Burn The Evidence who describe themselves as a "British alternative rock band with a metal edge".
The Worthing-based band formed in 2007.
They were founded by rhythm guitarist Mark Fox and lead guitarist Rob Erskine from a mutual respect of heavy, aggro-intensive music.
Burn the Evidence's line-up has primarily consisted of Mark and Rob with a few changes along the way.
They have now settled with Chris Sedlmayr on drums and Carl Toppin on bass guitar.
Carl is the youngest member of the band, aged 20, and lives in Worthing.
Chris also comes from Worthing and is 27.
Rob is from Lancing and aged 24.
Mark is the oldest member of the band, aged 29, and he lives in Littlehampton.
The band has developed a great song-writing and playing dynamic which started in Mark's basement before the band moved onto a professional studio.
The band's earliest songs have included crowd favourites such as Take You Down, Come Undone, and Bullet-proof.
Mark said: "We have now built up a strong fan-base in the Worthing area, and we often draw the largest crowd at our gigs, despite not being the headlining act."
To date, the band have independently released a live EP of their performance at Worthing's 2008 South Coast Battle of the Bands, in which they came third.
They have also performed at many events around Worthing and next week, they will make their Brighton debut.
