THIS year's Adur Festival was launched in Lancing, as youngsters performed and enjoyed a host of sideshows and entertainments.

Herald photographer Gerald Thompson was there to capture the magic of the launch event in North Road, Lancing, on Saturday, June 2.

He also went along to Ocean Day at Coronation Green in Shoreham and watched Sompting Morris perform outside St Mary's Church.
