YOUNGSTERS at a Lancing school have taken part in a sponsored walk to raise awareness of the hardships faced by people with epilepsy in the UK.
More than 70 year-seven pupils at Boundstone Community College walked round the running track on the school field 10 times to raise money as part of National Epilepsy Week.

Assistant head teacher Richard Bryant said: "A couple of them actually ran as much of the course as they could, and they all knew it was National Epilepsy Week.

"I had been talking to them in assembly all last week about epilepsy."

National Epilepsy Week is organised by Epilepsy Action to put pressure on politicians to improve services across the country.

Mr Bryant said he hoped the sponsored walk, along with a "mufti day" throughout the rest of the school, would raise between £300 and £400 for Epilepsy Action.
