A27 crash leaves man in hospital

A CAR crashed into an A27 road sign yesterday evening (Tuesday, July 15), leaving the driver in hospital.
It happened just before 8pm on the westbound carriageway between Clapham and Hammerpot.

The man was released from the car by West Sussex Fire and Rescue, using hydraulic equipment, and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Fire crews from Arundel, East Preston and Worthing took part in the rescue operation.
